Chancery Tiles

Chancery Tiles represent the feudal, ecclesiastic and royal institutions that provide the backbone of government for England. There are three types of Chancery Tiles; Royal Offices, Bishoprics and Earldoms. There are seven of each type of Chancery Tile for a total of twenty-one Chancery Tiles. Once a Chancery Tile is played on a Noble it cannot be removed and remains on that Noble until the Noble is slain.

Royal Offices have individual effects as outlined below;
  • Warden of the North generates one Authority and two Battle Dice in Northumbria and Yorkshire as well as providing two Support. One Seat at Parliament.
  • Warden of the Cinque Ports generates one Authority and two Battle Dice in The West Country and Kent as well as providing two Support. One Seat at Parliament.
  • Warden of the Pales generates two Authority and two Battle Dice in Calais and Ireland as well as providing two Support. One Seat at Parliament.
  • Constable of the Tower generates three Authority and two Battle Dice in London as well as providing two Support. One Seat at Parliament.
  • High Admiral generates one Authority and two Battle Dice in Anglia and the Midlands as well as providing two Support. One Seat at Parliament.
  • Earl Marshal generates two Battle Dice in all Regions as well as providing two Support.
  • Chancellor provides one Pound Income and If No Sole King can call Parliament. Two Seats at Parliament.
Royal Offices are subject to movement due to Events one in eight times except the Chancellor, which is not subject to movement due to Events, and the Earl Marshal which is subject to movement due to Events eleven in forty-eight times,

Bishoprics generate one Authority in a Region and provide one Pound income. A Bishop is also required for a Coronation. Bishops have two Seats at parliament. Bishops are not subject to movement due to Events.

Earldoms generates one Authority and two Battle Dice in one Region as well as providing two Support. Earls have one Seat at Parliament. Earldoms are subject to movement due to Events one in eighteen times.
